No No, not that kind of money in your underwear... Perv. I'm talking about actually making money while doing nothing else except by sitting in your chair in your house (or wherever you may be) and clicking & tapping away at your keyboard (and in some cases, not even that).
I should start out by introducing myself. My name is Ryan, I'm 23, and I've recently graduated college, I'm on my own. That means I'm the only one supporting myself. I do have a full-time job. I also have this not-so-secret passion about finding that one thing that will let me retire by the time I'm 40 years old. So naturally, I am always looking for that way to make an extra buck here or there. Recently, I decided to look towards the internet for my huge future fortune.
I will be willing to bet that I'm like most people out there. When it comes to anything on (or off) the internet, I'm your #1 skeptic . Seriously, ask my friends. So if you're like me, this makes it nearly impossible for people like us to believe it when you read, "WIN AN IPOD!!" or "CLICK THE DANCING MOUSE FOR $400,000!!!" Well that's why I decided to start this blog. I will document my quest on finding different ways to make money legitimately online. This will only work under one condition: you actually believe that I'm a real "Average-Joe" writing this. Okay, you caught me. I'm actually way above average... And my name isn't Joe. Guilty as charged...
Seriously though, if you've found this blog, chances are you've browsed through about 10-100 other blogs claiming they are the ones that can show you how to make money online! Can they though? Probably so. Do you know who's behind those blogs? Probably not. I have read my fair share of those websites and being the skeptic I am, my immediate thought is that they work directly for the websites they are promoting. Or, they are getting paid to advertise for that particular website. There are a million things that can be going on and there is no way I can trust them after thinking that. That's how I feel, and if you're still reading, I'm sure you can relate.
Here are the rules that I follow and will continue to follow. They will be reflected in each and every post from here on out:
- If the money making method is too risky, I will not use that method. Because I am incredibly skeptical and very paranoid about giving out my personal info, I will only use money making methods that do not require me to tell people anything I feel uncomfortable giving. If it requires giving info, we will find a way around it. If you're looking for more risk and greater returns, go find another site or take up gambling.
- I will not waste my time. This also translates into "I will not waste YOUR time." No, I'm not going to sign myself up for something that earns me a quarter for an hour of clicking. That's ridiculous, and I'd rather get a part time job doing something productive. If I post it on here, rest assured it can be worth your time if done correctly.
- I will only post what I have done successfully, and will provide proof. Lots of sites like these have a million links and a brief description saying how they can work, not how they have worked. If I post a method on here, I will do my absolute best to provide any proof of earnings, in as much detail as possible, in order to prove to my fellow skeptics that it is legitimate. I will from time-to-time try out a few new sites and post how it goes. If they turn out to be a bust, you'll be the first to know.
- I will include full disclosures in all of my posts. Some sites I will attempt to make money with will accept referrals. This means, if I create an account, I can post a special link for others to join and create their own accounts. Here's the catch: If you sign up under my name, I may earn a certain small percentage, usually ranging from 0%-30% of what you earn. This does not take away any money from your earnings, it is just a bonus received from referring you to the site. This is where my site differs from MANY other sites. I will let you know when a link is a referral link. I will not be sneaky and try to get you to join under me. For instance, here I will post a link that directs you to a website: http://www.innocentlittlewebpage.com/i_just_tricked_you. Hover your mouse over that link and look at the bottom left of your broswer box (if you're using Internet Explorer). See? The link does not take you to the one I posted. It actually takes you to http://www.www.innocentlittlewebpage.com/checked_again?_now_you. I really hate it when people disguise their referral links and con you into giving them commission. I won't con you, I'll let you know what you are clicking. Use that trick I showed you if you don't believe me. Of course, it will always be much appreciated if you do use my referral link, but in no way will I deceive you. How does that sound?
You can also rest assured that if my hand is in any pockets of the websites I am explaining, I will disclose it. If I say that I am only a general member of the site, but I am by no means related in any way to the creators of the website, then I mean it. I did not start this blog to advertise sites, I started it to educate myself and others about money-making possibilities on the internet. - I will make myself available for you to talk with me regarding anything relating to making money or not. If you have questions about anything you read here or elsewhere, I would love to hear from you. I have email and AIM. Hopefully if you need help, you have access to either or both of those. My contact info is provided on the sidebar. If you want help, explanation, clarification, or even if you want to share with me your blackberry cobbler recipe, I want to hear from you. This goes back to the whole, "if I can't get you to trust that I'm a normal dude, then I'm wasting your time," which breaks rule number 2.
- If I find a way to retire by the time I'm 40, and nobody else can know about it, I will not post it. Sorry, if I hit it big on the internet (hahaha), sayonara. I expect that the chances are just as great as me getting into the NBA (and I haven't played basketball since grade school) as they are of me hitting it big. I'm a skeptic and I'm also a realist. The money I will be making may only add up to gas money for the month, or it could add up to paying my weekend bar tabs. I'll let you know a good estimate about ranges of what you can expect to earn with certain methods. Now tell me, how many other sites bring you that? "Three," you say? oh.
Lordy this is long... So, I hope you find this website easy to read and understand, informative, and fun. Maybe you and I can learn a few things. I hope you enjoy your stay!
